Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why was Heartland formed?
Most service companies focus on the larger
customers so they have a proportional amount of activity to count on from
them. Smaller organizations indicated they wanted similar services but
could not find a supplier they could rely upon. Heartland focuses it's
support to the smaller businesses. Residential customers have had only
one source for service, the phone company. Heartland will be available
for residential services as well.
What services and/or products does Heartland
offer?
Heartland offers the same modern technology
to all it's customers. From data networks, voice mail, phone systems, computerized
functions, answering machines and cordless telephones, to frame relay,
multiplexers, modems, ISDN and PBX equipment.
Recently, Heartland has begun Web-Site Creation and
Development. Check out our page on our "Full-Service"
program!
What are Heartland's priorities?
Customer service is Heartland's #1 priority.
If you are experiencing maintenance problems, Heartland will make that
a priority to attend to them right away.
What commitments can I expect from Heartland?
As service is a main priority, it takes
precedence over other activities. Heartland will respond to any service
problem or outage no later than the following business day. An emergency
will be attended to immediately. If service is needed, Heartland will make
a technician available even if they must halt other work in progress.
What commitments for changes and activities
other than service problems can we expect?
Heartland's goal is to respond to service
changes, moves, additions, etc, within one week of the work request. Obviously,
large jobs will have to be scheduled for proper coverage, and some activities
will have to be coordinated with outside organizations (i.e.: Ma Bell)
and will be time sensitive. Special circumstances will sometimes determine
the response required and will be handled accordingly.
What are Heartland's hours of operation?
Like most businesses, Heartland's regular
business hours are from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. The office is open for calls
24 hours a day, however. If you need us there to attend to your needs,
we will do all within our power to do so. If you need something installed
or repaired before start of business on the next business day, Heartland
can be there for you.
What are your rates on labor and materials?
Heartland's current labor rates are very
competitive, and among the lowest in the industry. There is no trip charge
for any response to your service request. We only charge based on time,
and materials used. Any off-hour requests will be charged according to
the circumstance. A quote on the hourly rate can be requested. Off-hour
charges would apply for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Material
charges vary depending on the manufacturer, quantity, and use. It is impossible
to have a set price on every possible item that may be wanted, but, if
it is not a stock item, a quote can be obtained. Allow some time to get
the information for you.
What commitments must we make to obtain
service from Heartland?
Heartland is so sure of the quality of
service provided, there is no commitment needed from you. Our business
is based on providing timely and quality service. If we do our job, you
will be a Heartland customer for life.
Does Heartland offer maintenance plans
and warranties?
Absolutely. These are "requested
services" and information on these, or any other services, can be
obtained simply by calling and asking. Heartland will always work with
you if you have a manufacturer's warranty claim and will assist obtaining
repair or replacement of warranted items.
